DRIVING TO PIGEON FORGE, TENNESSEE



INTERSTATE 40 TO KNOXVILLE AND PIGEON FORGE, TENNESSEE



We left Nashville about 10:30 this morning and it was a long and hot drive to Knoxville about 6 hours.  At Knoxville we turned off to head to Sevierville, where Dolly Parton is from, and from there to Pigeon Forge where Dollywood is located.  We are staying at Waldens Creek Campground in Pigeon Forge.  We arrived here about 5:30 and added another hour to the time difference.  We are now 3 hours ahead of the west coast.

The traffic in Pigeon Forge was extremely heavy and it took quite a while to get through town to our RV Park.

This is a very busy city and full of many attractions which we will check out over the next 2 days.

Again, the temperature is soaring and the humidity is high.
