THIS ONE'S FOR THE GOLFERS

We decided to head down to Augusta, Georgia to check out the famous Augusta National Golf Course where the Masters Golf Tournament is held.  It's about a 2 hour drive but it was a very pleasant, tree-lined drive.

 Arriving at Augusta.

We did manage to drive through one of the gates but could only go a few yards.  These are some of the pictures we took inside the gate.

FUTURE MASTERS CHAMPION????

Before we drove out of the gate Cam stopped the car and jumped out with his club to stand on the grass and have his picture taken.   That's as close as he'll ever get to playing at Augusta.

We had hoped to go to the Pro Shop to get a souvenir but the course was closed for the summer and there is not one souvenir shop or golf shop in town where you can purchase Augusta items.  Guess they have that one wrapped up pretty good!

hey...you did you go on rdwy 240 'n' junction 81?

that is where duane and i had purchased a home, and were planning to have a bed and breakfast, gift store and petting farm...river running through edge of our property and tunnel road....duane's work bought the house for us, and then sold our house in salmon arm for us. he was working in asheville at the mill there as the QC Manager.

it is so beautiful there, and i luved it so much. although at the time, it was a dry county, and e1 drove over to greenville to buy booze and we would come back with the pick-up trucks full of booze to hand out to those coworkers from the mill the wanted it....LOL LOL
